About Showreel Works
Profile Picture

Hello! I’m a second-year undergraduate in BA Illustration and Animation at Kingston University. I’m currently seeking a placement between September and December 2025, focusing on pre-production roles or animation.

Collaborating with clients such as Penguin, Vintage Books and The Kingston Heritage Service, I am adept at working on diverse projects, possessing deep understanding of various softwares acquired through hands-on briefs and workshops. Research is a main passion of mine when starting a new project, enjoying the process of gathering data and information through museum trips, archive visits and online inspirations. In my work, I am a non-linear thinker, often exploring multiple iterations and approaches to a brief, before narrowing down ideas into key concepts and themes. This can especially be found in my Kepler-22B project, as I’m currently developing ideas on how a futuristic society can settle on a water-based exoplanet and the challenges that they could face.

Animation is my primary passion, and I find great joy in seeing my work come to life. While I often use digital software, I am increasingly drawn to the textures and unpredictability of traditional mediums, such as hand-painted frame-by-frame animation and paper puppetry. I am eager to explore blending these techniques in my future projects, aiming to enrich my digital animations with scanned or layered traditional textures. I am always seeking new challenges and opportunities to grow as an artist and storyteller.
